Gemini® Heat Set Varnishes

Are all made with ingredients that are non-toxic and UV resistant with no additives or experimental ingredients.

They are all designed to use straight out of the jar without thinning. However, you can thin them with Gemini® Heat Set thinner to achieve other effects.

Matte Varnish:
Is designed to get an ultra matte effect by using it straight out of the jar without thinning and putting on a thin but full layer, pouncing off any extra. However, you can thin it with Gemini® Heat Set thinner to achieve other effects like priming problem areas.

Satin Varnish:
Is applied like the matte varnish by putting on a thin layer straight from the jar to get the maximum affect as long as you have full coverage.

Thick Medium:
This is designed to use by itself or mix with paint at whatever thickness you want. It is also used to repair cracks, bubbles or defects that can be fixed by filling them in with thick medium.

Glazing Gel:
Is used for Glazing or it has the properties to be a paint base so you can add pigment to make custom colors.

Look Alive:
Sets on its own so it has no maximum limit when mixing with paint. It can be used as a glaze or primer as well as a thinning medium. It has a little more texture than the regular thinning medium.

Thinning Medium:
Sets on its own so it has no maximum limit when mixing with paint. It can be used as a glaze or primer and has a slight texture.

Using a temperature between 265 and 270 F. and leaving it in for 12-15 min. seems to work the best. We know that 15 min. at 270 works good with one bake and also have tried 12 min. with pretty good results. We encourage you to experiment with your oven to see what time and temperature works best for you.
